From One Adventure to Another

Michelle Morck has never been one to shy away from a new adventure, opportunity, or challenging experience. She has had several interesting careers, raising a daughter, opened and built a business, lived on a boat for several years, began flying lessons, spent time fishing in Alaska, and participated in several triathlons. Just before the beginning of the pandemic, Michelle moved to Burlington and her adventures now include new projects and experiences that take advantage of all that the area has to offer, including the addition of Nutty Norsky Baking Co.

Danish Delight

An honest mistake made by a French baker 350 years ago created a delectable pretzel shaped, almond filled, pastry called the Kringle. The Kringle is a Scandinavian staple year round, but especially during the holidays.

Kransekage

The Kransekake is a traditional Danish wedding cake originally made by a Baker in Copenhagen. It’s a favorite among fellow Norskies. There is an 18th-century tradition that is still practiced today of lifting off the top ring of the cake and counting the number of rings that stick! The number of rings accounted for is said to be the number of little Nutty Norskies the couple will have.

The Kransekake isn’t just for weddings, it can be enjoyed at many gatherings and celebrations.
